MARION, Ohio — The Perrysburg girls basketball team improved to 7-0 on Saturday with a 68-20 road win over Marion Harding. Allex Brown led the way for the Yellow Jackets, scoring 13 points. Maddy Williams added 11 points, and Abby Sattler scored 10.
The Perrysburg girls basketball team rolled to a 20-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to the easy 67-17 road win over Maumee on Friday night. Sarah Baer and Allex Brown each scored 13 points to lead Perrysburg, while Katie Dunthy added 10 and Lindy DeLong scored all of her eight points in that first-quarter rush.
BOWLING GREEN – Sarah Baer poured in 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Perrysburg utilized a suffocating defense on Friday night to post a 60-50 win over Bowling Green. Senior Maddy Perry also scored 14 points for the Yellow Jackets, while Allex Brown added 10 more. Sarah Baer led a well-balanced scoring attack to lead the girls basketball team to a 55-32 victory on Friday night over Southview. Allex Brown added nine points and Lindy DeLong scored seven. The Yellow Jackets (2-0) shut out the Cougars in the first quarter to build an 11-point lead before expanding on it to lead 24-11 at the break. SANDUSKY — Unbeaten and top-ranked Perrysburg beat Medina 2-0 on Saturday in a regional girls soccer final to advance to the state final four for the first time in school history. Allex Brown and Lucy Walton scored goals, both in the second half, and the Yellow Jackets defense proved impenetrable in a 2-0 decision against ninth-ranked Medina in a Division I regional final at Strobel Field. Yellow Jackets shut out Ashland 7-0, advance to regional semifinal The Perrysburg girls soccer team remained perfect with a 7-0 victory Saturday against Ashland, capturing the Division I district championship. With the win, the Yellow Jackets face Northern Lakes League foe Anthony Wayne in the regional semifinal. That game will be played at Bowling Green State University’s Cochrane Stadium at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
