Perrysburg High School Art Department is presenting its annual art show themed “Smart Art” at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Located in the Commons area of the school will be more than 200 works of art displayed from the 2014-2015 Introduction to Art, Drawing, Advanced Drawing, Ceramics, Digital Photo, and Photo classes. The past few weeks the teachers and students worked extremely hard to prepare all of the artwork, along with the Art Club volunteers.

The event is free and drinks and snacks will be provided for attendees.

“I’m excited for the students to showcase their work from the school year,” art teacher Lynne Barefoot said. “I hope that the art show helps the community appreciate what is being done in the Art Department.”

Along with all of the art being displayed, there will also be “senior tables” for current seniors enrolled in any art class to use for their Senior Showpiece. These will include artwork from any art class taken at PHS and any of their own personal work done outside of school.
