To all students who turned on their TVs to see that porous pal that we all know, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water is a blast from your childhood.

I know this may seem like a childish movie to tell a high school audience to watch. However, if you have watched the show when you were maybe five or six, you would understand some of the older humor from the classic episodes of the show.

This movie is great for kids and older audiences with its light humor and fun cartoon slapstick.

At a certain point, the film takes a 3D turn, actually surprising me when going to see it.

The 3D animation was very smooth and blended very well with real-life backgrounds, looking authentic in the setting. This movie also has a very special surprise to those who are a fan of the YouTube Channel: Epic Rap Battles – no spoilers. What could this Spongebob plot possibly be about? The famous Krabby Patty secret formula was stolen yet again, but this time, not by Plankton whom we all assume had stolen it.

I would suggest this film to see with a younger audience for maximum enjoyment.

Take a trip back to your childhood and come see The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
