Marching down Disney World
On Saturday, the Perrysburg High School Marching Band left for Walt Disney World in Florida. The band took a charter bus to head to Cocoa Beach and then on to Orlando..
The next three days will be spent at various parks.
On Monday, the students went to EPCOT to work on the making of movie soundtracks.
The following day the band headed to the Magic Kingdom for a parade performance. On Wednesday, the band will travel to Hollywood Studios and have a wonderful final day at Disney, and get back late Thursday evening.
The PHS band has been able to do this in the past, the director enjoyed the last trip.
“It was a neat experience to be able to march down the main street to see everyone there and hear Perrysburg’s name be announced through the speakers” said band director Scott Schleuter.
For some students it will be a new experience though.
“It’s really a rare experience you get to march down Disney World,” said freshman band student Nicolas Aleman. “It’s something you might dream of doing as a child, so it’s great that we are being provided a chance to live it.”
