Please help the typhoon victims
The Perrysburg High School Student Council has been going around lunches this week collecting funds and raising awareness for the Philippines typhoon relief effort.
On Nov. 8, Typhoon Haiyan killed more than 4,000 people, washed away thousands of homes and buildings with powerful winds and giant waves.
Madison Creps, president of this year’s student council, is hoping Perrysburg High School students can help make a difference.
The money collected at lunches is going to ISOH/IMPACT, the northwest Ohio-based, non-profit group that provides relief in times of national disaster, war, disease and famine.
“They will be able to buy food and first aid supplies for the victims,” Madison said.
