BOWLING GREEN – Sarah Baer poured in 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Perrysburg utilized a suffocating defense on Friday night to post a 60-50 win over Bowling Green.
Senior Maddy Perry also scored 14 points for the Yellow Jackets, while Allex Brown added 10 more.
Perrysburg led by eight points at the half and then opened the third quarter with a 13-2 run to go up 41-22.
The Yellow Jackets remained undefeated overall and in the Northern Lakes League (3-0) by forcing 25 Bobcat turnovers. They came up with four steals during the key run in the third quarter.
Bowling Green (2-3 overall, 1-2 NLL) was led by junior guard Hanna Williford, who finished with a game-high 16 points. Livvy Dill chipped in with 11 points for the Bobcats, who closed to within 10 points with a late third quarter run.
