Dear Miss Nancy,
I’m stressing out over my ACT scores. I don’t know if I did as well as I wanted to do. What should I do?

Dear Stressed by Scores,
You need to have faith in yourself and be confident. In every type of test, confidence is always key to success.

Dear Miss Nancy,
I  am trying to get my grade up in  math. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to get the desired grade.
Student Struggler

Dear Student Struggler,
If you are having trouble with grades in a class, or understanding the material, the first thing to do is be honest with your teacher. Take the time to stop by her/his classroom after school and tell her you need help. I’ve never known a teacher to turn a student away. She will help you or arrange for a tutor to help you. She may also give you extra credit opportunities to help you get the grades you desire.

Dear Miss Nancy,
I am in my first real relationship with an awesome guy. I need some advice.
Girlfriend in Doubt

Dear Girlfriend in Doubt,
First off, congratulations. But you haven’t told me what the problem is. I can tell you that communication is the key to any good relationship, and I don’t mean ceaseless talk about nothing. Talk to your guy about how you feel and what’s important to you. And remember that trust is the heart of a healthy relationship.

Saying that, beware of trying to speed things up. You may scare him away if you go too fast too quick. Ask him what he wants out of the relationship. If he doesn’t tell you right away, just sit back and let him set the pace.
